I decided that I'd like to be able to help people and do something, some type of service in the medical or dental field. When I was accepted at Tufts University, I decided that dentistry would be an avenue for me to provide some help for patients. And since that time, back in 1977, I haven't looked back. I've been a continuing education person for many years, actually since I got out of school, and I find that if you're not involved with continuing education, you'll fall behind on what's going on. Life is changing in every way, and especially in the medical and dental fields, things change so quickly. If you cannot keep up, you're not doing your patients the best service you can. So I've maintained a steady diet of continuing education and continue to do so. I like to work with people who are at the end of their ability to take care of their teeth and transform their lives by giving them the ability to smile, to talk, to interact with other people where they had lost that due to the condition of their teeth. That's the greatest thrill for me.
