No matter which implants you receive, you’ll benefit from the advanced technology we use, the option of receiving IV sedation, and the expertise of our implant dentists. Many general dentists only restore implants with replacement teeth, first sending you to an oral surgeon for the actual placement of implants. At our office, however, we do it all!
Dr. Argeros has been placing and restoring dental implants since the early 1980s, when they first began to achieve mainstream acceptance. He is certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and holds a Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. In addition, he holds a Mastership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, and has served on the Publication Review Board for The Journal of Oral Implantology.
Receiving implants is a major decision. If you want the best implants, don’t be afraid to ask about your doctor’s level of expertise!
Replace Teeth With Dental Implants Plus a Crown or Bridge
Without an implant, we can give you a conventional bridge to replace one missing tooth. But first we’d have to remove structure from at least two of your healthy teeth to support the bridge. Our team won’t need to touch any healthy teeth if you instead receive a dental implant with a dental crown.
Your new tooth will blend beautifully into your smile. Plus the implant will provide the kind of stimulation needed to keep the bone around the area intact and strong.
Several missing teeth in a row can be replaced with an implant-supported bridge. Just like the dental implant/dental crown combination, there is no need for us to work on any healthy teeth.
Implant Dentures Stay Securely in Place
One concern with standard dentures is that they could slip out of place. It’s a valid worry, given that they sit on top of your gums and are held in place with suction – perhaps with the addition of denture adhesive. It’s especially embarrassing if dentures shift or even become dislodged while you’re in a public setting.
Implant dentures are attached to implants that have been surgically embedded into your jaw. So they aren’t going anywhere. Plus, no adhesive is needed. They also provide chewing strength nearly equal to what you enjoyed before losing teeth. Just as with an implant crown or bridge, the implants keep you from losing bone density in your jaw.
You can opt for dentures that you can take out for daily cleaning or dentures that remain in place unless removed by a dentist. With the latter type of replacement teeth, you can just brush and floss daily as you would with natural teeth. Both kinds of implant dentures feel and function more like natural teeth than standard dentures.
All-on-X Can Restore Your Smile in a Single Day
With our team’s implant expertise, you may even be able to receive your implants and replacement teeth all on the same day. An All-on-X procedure is one of the most cost effective ways to replace many or even all of your teeth. It involves using as few as four dental implants to secure a complete arch of replacement teeth.
The key to this treatment, which can be used in your upper jaw, lower jaw, or both jaws, is careful implant placement. Our team uses 3D imaging and special software to ensure your implants are in optimal positions. We also use implants that are specifically designed for one-day treatment.
Since only a few implants are used, an All-on-X procedure is easier on your jaw than some other full-mouth implant treatments. You’ll typically get temporary teeth that offer a natural appearance and full oral function while your mouth heals. Then you return to our office later to receive the final arch.
Mini Implants May Be the Best Implants for You
Though they’re not right for every situation, mini dental implants can be the best implants if you lack enough bone density to support full-size implants. With mini implants, you may be able to avoid the need to strengthen your jaw with a bone graft or similar procedure. An especially popular application for mini implants is keeping lower dentures in place. They can sometimes be used with your existing dentures.
