Dr. Stephen Sozanski was raised on the North Shore and graduated from St. John’s Prep and later Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME, where he played ice hockey for most of his college career. Dr. Sozanski received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine and his Certificate of Endodontics from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
He has worked for many years in private endodontic practice in both Massachusetts and Maine. He’s pleased to have joined Contemporary Dentistry and Implantology in Peabody, MA, practicing both endodontics and general dentistry. According to the American Association of Endodontists, fewer than 3 percent of dentists are endodontists. Like other endodontists, Dr. Sozanski completed at least two years of training beyond dental school, focused on diagnosing tooth pain and performing root canals and other procedures related to saving damaged teeth.
A lifelong amateur radio enthusiast (call sign WA1HHK), Dr. Sozanski also enjoys astronomy and the culinary arts. In addition, he is involved with several community theater organizations, including the North Shore Players of Danvers. He and his wife, Alice, an oncology nurse at the North Shore Medical Center, reside in Lynn, MA.
